The founding of TFSurvey wasn't an entrepreneurial moment. It was a breaking point.
The research team behind CGP Data Group had spent years commissioning B2B and healthcare studies through the industry's standard channels. The results arrived on schedule. The sample sizes hit quota. But the insights felt hollow — analytically coherent, strategically useless.
When a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical client's drug adoption study produced physician opinions that contradicted established clinical behavior, the question became unavoidable: whose opinions were we actually capturing?
The answer, after months of forensic analysis, was damning. A significant portion of "verified physicians" in that study were professional respondents — frequent survey-takers who had learned exactly which screening answers would qualify them for high-value healthcare surveys. Not doctors. Actors playing doctors, for the price of a survey incentive.
That experience crystallized a conviction: the panel industry's verification problem wasn't a technical limitation — it was a business model problem. Cheap, high-volume panels optimized for completion rates, not data integrity. The incentives were misaligned at a structural level.
TFSurvey was built to realign those incentives. We drew on CGP Data Group's data infrastructure expertise and partnered with CalibraSync — whose fraud detection architecture had been developed for financial services, where bad data carries real liability — to build a panel where quality was the only metric that mattered. Not size. Not speed. Quality.
Today, TFSurvey operates as a member of the CGP Data Group ecosystem, serving research firms, pharmaceutical companies, management consultancies, and technology vendors who have learned — sometimes the hard way — that cheap sample is the most expensive decision in market research.
